Are you honoring your inner child?
As a healer and Yoga/Meditation leader, spirit brings the awareness of honoring and loving our Inner Child up constantly. I have observed “grown-ups” break into tears as they truly silent the mind’s constant chatter and listen to their Inner Child’s needs with Love and compassion. Such a simple act really, and yet incredibly powerful when we “tune inward” on a daily basis. Listening to our Inner Child’s needs creates a profoundly powerful inner shift that, once ignited, will magically shift and transform your outer reality in amazing ways. Just asking yourself: “How can I love you today?” or “Is there anything you need from me?” can ignite great inner transformation.
I know this much to be true: No matter your Earth age, we all have an Inner Child. The question is, are you listening to them? Are you loving them fully with compassion and acceptance? Or are you neglecting your Inner Child? Are you even aware of the voice within?
Take a moment right here, right now and take a deep, centering breath. Sit upright or if you’re in a comfortable safe place to lie down, then lie down and connect with your breath. After a few deep slow breaths, set your intention to connecting with your Inner Child. Just set the intention without any expectations or judgments. Be Open!
Now ask your Inner Child: “How are you?” Shhhh listen.
Then ask, “How can I Love you today?” Shhhhh listen again.
Stay present with any emotions or feelings that may arise as you make this important connection with your Inner Child. Observe what arises, and Love whatever that may be. You may visualize your inner child. Notice what age your Inner Child appears to you as, and any significance to that age. Often times we have cellular memories trapped or lingering within. Pain that we didn’t know how to process as age four may still linger in the cells of your body and mind.
Our intention is to make this important connection, and to Love whatever emotions may arise; to fully accept yourself with compassion and care; to release all the programming you’ve been taught in regards to shaming and degrading yourself over the years; to release all need for perfection and control, and to just enjoy Being with our selves. This New habit of connecting daily with your Inner Child will offer you profound healing, freedom, and release. Soon you’ll feel more aligned with your Source, more joyous, trusting, peaceful and at ease. This moment with yourself, this choice to Love yourself fully, to accept yourself as you are, will offer you more nurturing and transformation than I am capable of writing here.
